The worst performers of the session were Appen Ltd (ASX:), which fell 4.77% or 1.03 points to trade at 20.57 at the close. Ansell Ltd (ASX:) declined 4.43% or 1.76 points to end at 37.99 and ARB Corporation Ltd (ASX:) was down 4.33% or 1.66 points to 36.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 764 to 609 and 353 ended unchanged.
